Inspiring Inclusive Play

About Us
Over 1700 children in the greater Wichita Falls area are considered handicapped by the census bureau. As such, they had no place to play until Phase I of Play for All Inclusive Community Playground was opened in 2020. The playground included sturdy equipment with 350-pound weight limit; cool coat that prevents burning in the hot Texas sun; and a bacteriostatic, anti-static turf that prevents mud, static and germs. The turf is on top of a 'bounce' layer that makes any fall a little easier to take. Children that want to crawl will find the area soft and clean. Children with assistive devices will find it easy to roll on the turf. No piece of equipment is labeled 'handicapped', and all are accessible and inclusive. Conversations are gateways to learning. The cozy dome provides needed calm space for those that become over-stimulated. Fencing makes the space safe and secure. Planning is in the works to add shade and an adult seating area.
